The award-winning production of Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus comes to London, performed in Cantonese and directed by famous Hong Kong theatre director Tang Shu-wing. Shakespeare’s grisliest play is performed by Mr Tang’s groundbreaking troupe in a production influenced by the hybrid culture of Hong Kong. Hailed as an ‘alchemist of minimalist theatre’, Tang Shu-wing works with simple staging, using voice and movement to ‘release the energies’ of classic texts. These performances follow a hugely successful UK premiere at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London in 2012.
