Intangible Cultural Heritage: Mid-Autumn Tranquillity
Experience the culture of the Mid-Autumn Festival – part of Hong Kong’s Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival
Crowne Plaza London – the City, 19 New Bridge St, London EC4V 6DB
In Chinese culture, the Mid-Autumn Festival signifies wholeness of the moon, family and
relationships, which bring peace, love and harmony. All these are celebrated via food, arts
and music during the festive period, which will be shown in this event organised by Ming
Ai (London) Institute. Being the second part of the Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage
Festival, the highlight of the event is a demonstration of moon cake making, with a chance to
taste this amazing Chinese speciality.
The event is also supported by Hong Kong’s Intangible Cultural Heritage Office,
Lee Kum Kee (Europe) Ltd, Crowne Plaza London – the City, Hong Kong Tourism Board
and British Airways.
